About Pulse+IT

Pulse+IT is Australasia’s first and only eHealth and health IT publication. It was launched in 2006 to help GPs and specialists better understand the technology they confront in their practices.

Nearly two decades on, Pulse+IT carries an editorial platform and a digital circulation that reflect how central health IT has become — to hospitals, to primary care, to aged care providers and to the vendors and agencies building the systems underneath them.

From print to digital

Having grown rapidly from a launch circulation of 10,000 copies, Pulse+IT’s six-weekly distribution of 37,000 printed copies ranked it as one of Australia’s highest-circulating health publications and highest-circulating IT publications of any kind.

After three years of developing and expanding its fleet of digital services, in 2015 Pulse+IT ceased publication of the printed magazine and moved to specialist digital publishing.

What we cover

Our reporting spans Australian eHealth — My Health Record, the Australian Digital Health Agency, state hospital EMR programs, secure messaging and electronic prescribing — and New Zealand eHealth, where health system reform and national data platforms have reshaped the market. We also track Asia Pacific health IT, aged care technology and allied health software.

Pulse+IT is independently owned. Our news coverage is not for sale, sponsored content is always labelled as such, and no advertiser sees a story before it is published.
